Arabic Alphabet Flashcards (Free Printable PDF)
بطاقات الحروف العربية للأطفال: ٢٨ حرفًا من الألف إلى الياء، حرف كبير وملوّن في كل بطاقة. ملف PDF مجاني للطباعة.
I made these for my toddler at home in Dubai. Each card has one big, colourful Arabic letter and nothing else, so there's nothing to distract a small child. All 28 letters are included, from alif (ا) to yaa (ي), in the usual alphabet order.
The PDF is A4 with two cards per page. Print it, cut along the dashed line in the middle, and you have 28 big flashcards. Thick paper or card stock works best. Laminate them if little hands will be grabbing them.

Ways to use them
- Letter of the day. Stick one card on the fridge and say its sound whenever you walk past.
- Find the letter. Lay out three or four cards and ask "where's baa?" Start with letters that look very different, like ا, ب and ع.
- Letter hunt. Hide a few cards around the room. Each time your child finds one, you both say the letter.
- Spot the dots. ب ت ث share one shape and only the dots change. Put them side by side and count the dots together.
- Memory game. Print two copies at 8 cards per page with the card maker, then play pairs.
Printing tips
- Print at 100% / actual size on A4. On US Letter, pick "fit to page".
- Colour looks best, but the letters are big enough to work in black and white too.
- Want smaller cards? Open the PDF in the printable card maker, pick "2 cards already on each page", then 4, 6 or 8 cards per page.
Questions
Are these Arabic letter flashcards free?
Yes. The PDF is free to download, print and share for personal, classroom and nursery use.
What age are they for?
They are made for toddlers and preschoolers (about 18 months to 5 years): one big letter per card, nothing else to distract. Older children can use them for flashcard drills and games.
Do the cards show every letter form?
No. Each card shows the letter on its own (the isolated form), which is how most children first learn the alphabet. The beginning, middle and end forms come later.
Can I print smaller cards, or several per page?
Yes. Open the PDF in the free printable card maker, choose "2 cards already on each page", then pick 4, 6 or 8 cards per page. It runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
Will it print on US Letter paper?
The PDF is A4. On US Letter, choose "fit to page" in the print dialog, or run it through the card maker and pick US Letter.
